JRC | JHS-183

The JHS-183 AIS is a ship borne system capable of regularly broadcasting own ship’s unique information and continually receiving and displaying information broadcast from other vessels. The AIS can "see around corners", allowing avoidance of dangers before visual contact has been established. All ship’s information including static and voyage related data such as the ship’s name and cargo, as well as its dynamic navigational information, i.e., position, course, and speed can be transmitted and received.

JRC | JLN-550

The JLN-550 Doppler sonar is designed to provide stable speed information with high stability in dual frequency mode. The lower ultrasonic frequency measures the ground speed (up to large depths) and the higher ultrasonic frequency calculates the ship’s speed against water with a minimized effect of aeration, allowing for stable and accurate operation. An ultrasonic beam is transmitted in fore and aft directions. At the same time, the hull motions such as rolling and pitching are detected and removed by simply measuring the difference of the Doppler shift reception signal, ensuring accurate and stable speed data, even in the roughest conditions.The transducer allows for dual frequency transmission, but the size is still smaller than conventional models, enabled to install on the bow, a suitable location that has the slightest amount of influence to bubbles, which allows for stable and accurate operation.

JRC | JMR-7200/9200 (NEW)

Latest advancements in technology have been put into JRC newest generation MFD radar reaching a whole new level of performance, designed to seamlessly run radar images faster, even simultaneously, and more efficiently than ever before and integrate a whole new set of functions and features to assist with safer navigation. JRC has a wide range of scanners available. X-band offers greater resolution and detection of smaller targets, but is subject to interference from rain and seas. S-band radar has a longer range and less interference from rain and sea clutter, but has less sensitivity for small targets. Available as a traditional magnetron type or solid state (S-band), low maintenance scanners, transceiver up or down, various scanner lengths and output power, normal or high speed, many variations are possible, to always have a solution at hand to fit your type of vessel. The moment you have more than one radar onboard, controlling any of the radars at any display will be possible with the new MFD. The Central Control Unit (CCU) has one "analog" and two "digital" inputs which allows you to use an external (mechanical) interswitch or a radar LAN interswitch. Blizzard™ allows independent and simultaneous pre and post-processing of radar video. Both analog (scanner) to digital (LAN) and digital to digital can be input on the display.  The radar video pre-processes (GAIN, SEA, RAIN) at the CCU before reaching the display and is compressed with high resolution and transferred via radar LAN to other connected MFD. Post-processing (range scaling and further enhancements) can be done at any display. The external interswitch unit can connect up to 8 units whereas analog video signals are switched externally (away from the display unit). If flag/class requires full scanner control regardless of connected display condition and signal processing, we would like to advise the use of the external interswitch unit for peace of mind. Naturally slave displays are possible however they do not give full control of scanner unit.  Radar overlay on the new ECDIS can be done by the radar LAN. And with the previous generation radar the ECDIS can be installed with a radar interface board to enable this function. The legacy radar models (JMA-9100, 7100, 900B, 5300) are able to interswitch with the MFD.

The JMA-3300 series is JRC's newest radar, featuring a 10.4-inch ultra bright LCD, and incorporates the latest digital signal processing for excellent target identification and detection in a compact design.The tough glass bonded LCD is backlit by white LED's giving 1000cd/m2 of brightness, making the radar image amazingly sharp. Bonding is a proceses whereby the air gap between the front glass and LCD module is filled with a special compound, significantly enhancing sunlight reflection, night vision and overheating as well as a reduction of possible condensation. SIMRAD | Argus X Band Radar

The Argus X-Band is a state of the art professional X-band radar including 6 and 9 foot antenna options* and up-mast transceiver in both 12kW and 25 kW. Thanks to the modular design, they can either be assembled to form a stand-alone display cabinet, or be flush mounted into a mechanical bridge console. The standard configuration always includes full ARPA, AIS and an electronic built-in interswitch for dual radar installations. Simrad is currently the only manufacturer who can offer X-Band, S-Band and Broadband. Adding a heading input from an autopilot system or dedicated sensor will allow the radar image to be overlaid on the chart. SIMRAD | Argus S Band Radar

The Argus S-Band Radar is perfect for vessels over 3000 gross tonnes who require an S-Band radar (3 GHz radar) as part of their carriage requirements.  The S-Band rounds out the Argus Radar portfolio and completes the Argus offering to reach more vessels. Simrad is currently the only manufacturer who can offer X-Band, S-Band and Broadband. The S-Band Radar shares the majority of the modular components with the X-Band Argus Radar. The wide screen monitors, keyboard and processor boxes are the same. This makes installation simple and also reduces the amount of spares that need to be kept onboard. Installation activities are further simplified by the fact that there is a simple direct coupling between the transceiver, the rotary joint and the antenna -this also minimises the RF loss between the transceiver and antenna, so increases overall performance. Like the X-Band, the interface with the console uses a single connector ended cable that allows radar controlling and tuning remotely from the radar display without having to open the radar case.

The NCR-333 receives NAVTEX broadcasts on the frequency channel 518 kHz, and either 490 kHz or 4209.5 kHz. The NAVTEX automatically receives broadcasts on the international standard frequency 518 kHz. Local transmissions of NAVTEX use the 490 kHz channel. The high frequency channel 4209.5 kHz is allocated for NAVTEX broadcasts. The NCR-333 also allows you to select and deselect certain types of information and coastal stations with the purpose of avoiding repeat broadcasts.
